how to cook Best Homemade Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls?
STEP 1
To start, preheat your oven to 180°C (350⁰F). Grab a small bowl and pour in some brown sugar. Add ground cinnamon and give it a good stir.
TIPS: If you don’t have any unrefined brown sugar on hand, don’t worry! Regular sugar works just fine as a replacement.
STEP 2
Now, let’s get that rich yeast dough ready. Follow this recipe and once it’s done, place the dough on a lightly floured surface.
TIPS: if you’re short on time or just prefer convenience, you can use ready-made frozen dough instead of making your own yeast dough. Just make sure to defrost it ahead of time, following the instructions on the package.
STEP 3
Roll it out into a 24cm x 28cm rectangle. If you want to be precise, you can use a ruler.
STEP 4
Next, spread some softened butter evenly over the surface of the rectangle, but make sure to leave a 1 cm gap on one short side.
TIPS: If your butter is too hard, a few seconds in the microwave can soften it up and make it easier to whip.
STEP 5
Sprinkle a mixture of sugar and cinnamon on top.
STEP 6
Starting from the opposite side, roll the dough into a tight roll. Cut it into 6 pieces, each about 4 cm wide. Repeat the same process with the second sheet of dough.
TIPS: When cutting the log into rolls, it is easier to use a bread knife with a serrated blade or a fishing line to prevent the dough from wrinkling.
STEP 7
Now, grease 2 silicone muffin pans for 6 pieces with butter. Place the rolls in the pans, cut side up.
TIPS: If you don’t have a 6-piece silicone muffin pan, no problem! A regular baking tray or a simple round baking tin will do the trick.
STEP 8
Cover the pans with cling film and let the rolls rise for about 20-30 minutes in a warm, draft-free spot. Ideally, the temperature should be around 25°C (77°F).
TIPS: If you don’t have cling film, a clean kitchen towel can be used to cover the dough.
STEP 9
Once the rolls have risen, pop them into the preheated oven at 180°C (350⁰F). Bake them for 15-20 minutes until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
TIPS: Looking for some helpful advice on how to preheat your oven and prepare it for baking? Look no further than my articles “How and Why Do You Need to Preheat Oven” and “Top 7 Secrets How to Bake in Oven”.
STEP 10
Take the rolls out of the oven.
STEP 11
Transfer the cinnamon rolls to a wire rack to cool slightly
STEP 12
In the meantime, grab a medium bowl and place some softened cream cheese in it. Use a mixer at medium speed to beat the cream cheese until it’s nice and creamy.
STEP 13
Add powdered sugar to the mix and keep beating until everything is well combined.
TIPS: It’s best to take the extra step of sifting the powdered sugar through a fine sieve. This simple technique will eliminate any unsightly lumps, resulting in a flawlessly smooth and visually appealing frosting.
STEP 14
Now, it’s time to spread that creamy frosting all over the finished rolls.
TIPS: If you find it difficult to coat your rolls with the cream cheese frosting, try using a silicone pastry brush. It makes the task much easier and more efficient.
STEP 15
Voila! Your Best Homemade Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls are ready to be served. Enjoy them with a nice cup of tea. Bon appétit
