how to cook Best Homemade Chocolate Custard?

Get ready to indulge in a decadent chocolate custard that will satisfy your sweet cravings! In a medium bowl, combine cornstarch and salt.

After that sift cocoa powder through a sieve to the same bowl for a smooth texture.

TIPS: Keep in mind that the color of your chocolate custard will vary depending on the quality of the cocoa powder you use. If you want a lighter shade, go for more light cocoa powder, and if you prefer a darker hue, opt for the darker ones.

Add sugar to the cocoa powder and mix all dry ingredients well.

Then add 3 tablespoons (45g) of milk and mix thoroughly.

Next, pour the remaining milk into a saucepan and bring it to a boil.

Take a third of the hot milk and mix it into the chocolate mixture quickly.

Pour this mixture back into the saucepan with the remaining milk.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens, which should take about 4 minutes.

TIPS: Another tip is to constantly stir the custard over low heat until it coats the back of a spoon – this will ensure a smooth and creamy texture.

Once thickened, strain the custard through a fine sieve.

TIPS: If you find that your custard is starting to look lumpy or curdled, you can try straining it through a fine mesh sieve to remove any clumps and achieve a smoother texture.

Then add butter, stirring until completely dissolved. Let the cream cool slightly before covering it with cling film and placing it in the refrigerator to chill completely.

TIPS: Don’t rush the cooling process; allowing the custard to chill in the refrigerator for several hours will result in a perfectly set dessert.

Now, get ready to enjoy your delicious chocolate custard as a delightful dessert!

TIPS: When it comes to flavoring your chocolate custard, the possibilities are endless. You can add a splash of vanilla extract for a classic flavor, or experiment with different spices such as cinnamon or nutmeg for a more unique twist.
