Shortbread Sandwich Cookies with Dulce de Leche – VIDEO RECIPE

how to cook Shortbread Sandwich Cookies with Dulce de Leche?
STEP 1

To start, preheat your oven to 220°C (430°F). In a large bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar with some vanilla. Take softened butter and beat it in the bowl using a mixer at medium speed.
TIPS: If your butter is too hard, a few seconds in the microwave can soften it up and make it easier to whip.
TIPS: If you’re using margarine instead of butter, keep in mind that margarine contains salt. So, you might want to reduce the amount of salt in the recipe. Just a little heads up!
STEP 2

Next, pour the remaining powdered sugar into the bowl with the whipped butter and continue beating until it becomes creamy.
STEP 3

Add the eggs to this sugar-butter mixture and mix everything together well.
STEP 4

Now, add the sugar-vanilla mixture to the egg-sugar mixture. Gradually add flour and mix it all with a mixer at low speed until the dough becomes smooth.
STEP 5

Take the resulting dough and place it into a pastry bag fitted with a chamomile tip.
TIPS: When using a pastry bag with a nozzle, place it in a glass before filling it with dough. This will make the process much more convenient.
STEP 6

Carefully form the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure to leave some space between each cookie.
STEP 7

Put the baking sheet with the cookies into the preheated oven at 220°C (430°F). Bake them for about 10-15 minutes until they turn a lovely golden-brown color.
TIPS: Looking for some helpful advice on how to preheat your oven and prepare it for baking? Look no further than my articles “How and Why Do You Need to Preheat Oven” and “Top 7 Secrets How to Bake in Oven”.
STEP 8

Once baked, leave the cookies on the baking sheet until they cool completely.
TIPS: It’s important to let the shortbread cool completely on the baking sheet. If you try to move them while they’re still warm, they will break easily.
STEP 9

Then, take a teaspoon and apply a little Dulce de Leche to the inside of one cookie. Connect it with another cookie to create a sandwich.
TIPS: If you don’t have Dulce de Leche, don’t worry! You can easily substitute it with any jam of your choice.
STEP 10

Now, you can serve these delicious Shortbread Sandwich Cookies with Dulce de Leche for tea. Enjoy your treat!
