  • Honey – 2 tbsp. (44 g)
  • Milk – 1 1/2 cup (375 g)
  • Lemon zest – 1 tsp. (4 g)
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 sachet (10 g)
  • Blueberry jam – 1/4 cup (75 g)
  • Frozen blueberries – 1/2 cup (100 g)

  • Whipped cream
  • Powdered sugar

Cooking steps:

  1. Place eggs in a medium bowl, beat lightly with a whisk, add vanilla sugar, pour in liquid honey and milk, mix well.
  2. Cut the bread slices diagonally. Spread blueberry jam on one side of each bread triangle.
  3. Place the bread, jam side down, in a pre-greased 23cm x 15cm baking dish in 2 overlapping rows.
  4. Pour half of the egg-milk mixture onto the bread slices and let sit for 10-15 minutes until the bread is completely soaked. Drizzle with remaining mixture. Place blueberries on top and sprinkle with lemon zest.
  5. Bake in an oven preheated to 190°C (370⁰F) for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle the finished bread pudding with powdered sugar and serve with whipped cream.
