Ingredients:

  • Cabbage – 10 leaves (600 g)
  • Boiled rice – 1 1/3 cup (200 g)
  • Onions – 1 pc. (100 g)
  • Champignons – 8 pcs. (100 g)
  • Water – 1/2 cup (125 g)
  • Salt – 1/3 tsp. (2 g)
  • Ground black pepper – 1/3 tsp. (1 g)

  • White sesame

Cooking steps:

  1. Boil water in a saucepan and add salt. Place the cabbage leaves one at a time in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Remove, rinse with cold water and cool. Cut the thick fibers from the middle of the cabbage leaf.
  2. Cut the onion into cubes. Cut the mushrooms into small pieces. Finely chop two small cabbage leaves.
  3. Pour a little vegetable oil into a frying pan heated over high heat. Place chopped onions and mushrooms in it and fry for 5 minutes. Add cabbage, simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Place boiled rice into the resulting filling and cover the pan with a lid. Keep on low heat for a couple more minutes. Season with salt and black pepper, cool.
  5. Place the filling on the prepared cabbage leaves. Carefully roll the cabbage leaves to make cabbage rolls.
  6. Place the cabbage rolls in a baking dish, pour water into the dish. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (400°F) for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Pour the finished cabbage rolls with tomato sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
