how to cook Oven Roasted Cheese Ham Eggplants?
STEP 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400⁰F). Begin by slicing the eggplants into 0.5-0.7 cm thick slices.
STEP 2
Transfer the slices to a large bowl and sprinkle them with salt, allowing them to sit for 20 minutes.
TIPS: How to Remove Bitterness from Eggplants? Start by cutting the eggplants into desired shapes and sprinkle them generously with salt. Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the salt to work its magic. After that, give them a good rinse with water, pat them dry, and continue with your recipe. Another trick is to soak the sliced eggplants in salted water for about 30 minutes, then rinse and dry them.
STEP 3
Afterward, rinse the eggplants to remove the salt and pat them dry with a paper towel.
STEP 4
Next, cut the cheese into circles and then halve each circle.
TIPS: If you’re out of mozzarella, don’t fret. Palin hard cheese cut into slices can be great replacement.
STEP 5
In a small bowl, combine dried marjoram and black pepper, then add vegetable oil and stir well.
STEP 6
Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil and place the eggplant slices on it.
STEP 7
Coat each slice with the prepared sauce.
TIPS: To make spreading the sauce over the eggplants a breeze, use a silicone pastry brush. It’s the perfect tool for the job and will give you a smooth and even application.
STEP 8
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven at 200°C and bake for 15 minutes.

STEP 9
Once the eggplants are done, remove the baking sheet from the oven.
STEP 10
On top of each eggplant slice, place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese.
TIPS: Not a fan of ham? No worries, I’ve got you covered! You can easily swap it out for some mouthwatering smoked or boiled sausage, or salami. Customize your dish to suit your taste preferences and let your creativity run wild!
TIPS: Ready-made ham slices are readily available in the market, making your life so much easier when preparing a variety of dishes. Say goodbye to tedious chopping and hello to convenience!
STEP 11
Fold the eggplant in half, ensuring that the ham and cheese are enclosed, and secure with toothpicks.
TIPS: Secure your creation with toothpicks to ensure that the structure stays intact. It’s a small step that will bring you added convenience and peace of mind.
STEP 12
Lower the oven temperature to 180°C (350⁰F). Return the sheet with the eggplants to the oven, which is now preheated to 180°C (350⁰F), and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

Once again, remove the baking sheet from the oven.
