how to cook Easy Vegan Pesto Sauce Pasta?
STEP 1
To make this dish, start by following the instructions on the pasta package to cook it perfectly.
TIPS: Want some tips to enhance your pasta cooking skills? Check out my article “How to Cook Pasta Perfectly: 8 Secrets” for more detailed instructions.
TIPS: Instead of sticking to just one type of pasta, like linguine, why not try other long pasta options such as spaghetti and capellini pasta, or noodles? It’s a great way to add variety to your dishes.
STEP 2
While the pasta is cooking, grab a saucepan and toss in some frozen green peas. Add hot water.
STEP 3
Put the saucepan on medium heat. Let it come to a boil and cook for about 3 minutes.
STEP 4
Once the peas are cooked, drain off any excess liquid by placing them in a sieve.
STEP 5
Now, it’s time to grate some cheese using a fine grater.
TIPS: Pre-grated cheese is incredibly convenient for preparing a wide range of dishes.
STEP 6
In a medium bowl, combine sunflower seeds, salt, dried mint, and garlic. Give it a good stir.
TIPS: Instead of relying solely on dried mint, why not try using fresh one? It’s simple! Just give it a good wash, dry it off, and finely chop it up. This will add a burst of flavor to your dishes.
TIPS: Instead of using dried garlic, you can opt for a small clove of fresh garlic as a substitute. To prepare it, finely chop or use a garlic press to extract its flavor.
STEP 7
Then, add the grated cheese, parsley leaves, and vegetable oil to the mixture. Mix everything together.
STEP 8
Transfer this mixture into a kitchen chopper and grind it until you get a smooth and consistent texture.
TIPS: Wondering how to make green sauce without a kitchen chopper? No worries! You can use an immersion or regular blender instead.
STEP 9
Now, take the freshly cooked pasta and place it in a large bowl. Pour the pesto sauce over the pasta and mix it all together thoroughly.
STEP 10
Don’t forget to add the boiled green peas to the pasta and sauce, and give it another good stir.
STEP 11
To finish it off, sprinkle some coarsely chopped parsley and grated cheese on top of the pasta.
STEP 12
Now, you’re ready to serve this delicious dish! Enjoy your Easy Vegan Pesto Sauce Pasta. Bon appétit!
