how to cook Easy Oven Homemade Dill Garlic Bread?
STEP 1
Let’s get ready to make some delicious homemade yeast dough! Start with preheating your oven to 180°C (350⁰F). In a large bowl, combine flour and salt, then give it a good stir.
TIPS: if you’re short on time or just prefer convenience, you can use ready-made frozen dough instead of making your own yeast dough. Just make sure to defrost it ahead of time, following the instructions on the package.
STEP 2
In a separate bowl, mix warm water with dry yeast and sugar until well combined.
TIPS: Don’t overheat the milk – it should be warmed just above body temperature.
TIPS: When it comes to dry instant yeast, freshness is key for the best results. Aim to use yeast that’s as fresh as possible, ideally within six months of its production date. This way, you’ll ensure your baked goods rise to perfection every time.
STEP 3
Next, pour the flour mixture into a planetary mixer.
STEP 4
Follow by the yeast water mixture.
STEP 5
Let the mixer work its magic, kneading the dough at medium speed for 3-5 minutes.
TIPS: As you knead the dough, be patient and allow it to develop its gluten structure for a light and fluffy texture.
STEP 6
Once the dough is ready, shape it into a ball.
STEP 7
Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel. Let the dough rise in a warm, cozy spot for about 30 minutes.
TIPS: If you want your yeast dough to rise perfectly, aim for an ideal temperature of 25-27°C (77°F-80°F).
TIPS: If you don’t have a clean kitchen towel, cling film can be used to cover the dough.
STEP 8
After the dough has doubled in size, transfer it to the floured work surface. Sprinkle with flour.
STEP 9
Then roll the dough out into a circle on a floured surface.
STEP 10
Transfer it to a baking sheet and let it rest for a bit.
STEP 11
Then, cut the dough into squares using a pizza cutter.
TIPS: To cut your yeast dough, you can use a regular sharp knife or a pizza cutter. Both will do the job just fine.
STEP 12
Now, let’s make the dill and garlic sauce! Wash, slightly dry and finely chop some dill.
STEP 13
Then mix the chopped dill with chopped garlic and vegetable oil in a bowl.
TIPS: Now, let’s talk about garlic. Wondering how to chop a clove of garlic? There are a couple of options. You can either use a garlic press to get that perfect mince. Or finely chop the garlic with a sharp knife. Both methods work like a charm.
TIPS: If you don’t have fresh garlic cloves, dried garlic can be a suitable substitute. Just keep in mind that the flavor might be slightly different, so adjust accordingly.
STEP 14
Time to assemble our homemade bread! Coat the squares with half of the delicious sauce, making sure to cover them well.
STEP 15
Pop them in the oven at 180°C (350⁰F) for 20 minutes until they are golden brown and irresistible.
