how to cook Easy Orange Blueberry Clafoutis?
STEP 1
To start, preheat your oven to 180°C (350⁰F). Grab a large bowl and crack in some eggs. Add sugar and vanilla sugar, then grab a mixer and beat everything together until it becomes a fluffy pale mass.
STEP 2
Next, pour in some melted butter into the egg-sugar mixture. Add flour and salt, then slowly pour in some milk. Keep mixing everything together with the mixer at a low speed until it becomes smooth. Don’t forget to add some orange zest for that extra zing!
TIPS: Melt your butter either on the stove or in the microwave – whichever is more convenient for you.
TIPS: Want to make the orange flavor in the clafoutis even better? Just grind some sugar with freshly grated orange zest. Trust me, it’s a game-changer!
STEP 3
Now, it’s time to grease four ramekins with a diameter of 6.5 to 8.5 cm. Fill them up about two-thirds full with the dough you just made.
TIPS: For baking clafoutis, use a low baking dish. If you’re using a taller baking dish, you’ll need to adjust the cooking time accordingly.
TIPS: When making clafoutis, look for a glass or ceramic baking dish. Metal baking tin can cause the berries in the cake to oxidize.
STEP 4
Once that’s done, place some slightly defrosted blueberries on top of the dough.
TIPS: Don’t stress if you don’t have four ramekins. You can easily use a larger baking dish with a bigger diameter instead. It’ll still get the job done!
TIPS: If you don’t have frozen blueberries, fresh ones can be a fantastic alternative. They’ll add a burst of flavor to your recipe and give it a delightful twist.
STEP 5
Pop the ramekins with the dough into the preheated to 180°C (350⁰F) oven and let them bake for around 18-20 minutes. While they’re baking, get some powdered sugar ready to sprinkle on top of the finished clafoutis.

STEP 6
Once the clafoutis are done, take them out of the oven and give them a nice dusting of powdered sugar.
STEP 7
To make them look even more appetizing, add some blueberries and peeled orange slices on top. You can also garnish them with some strips of orange zest.
STEP 8
Now, it’s time to dig in! Serve Easy Orange Blueberry Clafoutis. Enjoy your meal and bon appétit!
