how to cook Easy Imitation Crab Cucumber Salad?
STEP 1
First, peel the boiled and cooled eggs and cut them into strips.
TIPS: Let’s master the art of making hard-boiled eggs. Start by placing the eggs in lightly salted water, bring it to a boil, and let them cook for a good 10 minutes. Once they’re done, cool them off in cold water. Easy peasy!
TIPS: If you want to cut boiled eggs into strips quickly and easily, try using a special egg cutter. It’s much more convenient and saves you time.
STEP 2
Next, place the canned corn in a sieve, drain off any excess liquid, and give it a good rinse with water.
STEP 3
Don’t forget to thaw the crab sticks and cut them into strips as well.
TIPS: Let’s defrost those crab sticks the right way. You can either let them thaw at room temperature or submerge them in cold water. Just remember, don’t use hot or warm water as it will mess up their shape.
STEP 4
Now, let’s move on to the cucumbers. Give them a nice wash, cut off the stems, and then slice them in half lengthwise. Finally, cut the cucumbers into strips.
TIPS: Want your cucumbers to be extra crispy and juicy? Place them in a bowl of cold water for 10-15 minutes before using them. You’ll notice the difference!
STEP 5
For the Napa cabbage, we want to slice it into thin strips.
TIPS: When making salads, opt for the tender green part of Napa cabbage leaves. The inner white part, which is more rigid, can be used for stewing, frying, boiling, and preparing other dishes.
STEP 6
And don’t forget about the dill! Give it a good wash, dry it, and then finely chop it up.
TIPS: Fresh dill not available? No problem! You can use dried dill as a substitute in your dish.
STEP 7
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, vegetable oil, chopped dill, and season it with some black pepper and salt. Mix everything together until it’s well combined.
STEP 8
Now, it’s time to assemble the salad. Grab a large bowl and toss in the Napa cabbage, cucumbers, and crab sticks.
STEP 9
Add the canned corn and the chopped eggs to the mix, and gently combine everything together.
STEP 10
Finally, pour the delicious mayonnaise dressing over the finished salad.
STEP 11
And there you have it! A mouthwatering Easy Imitation Crab Cucumber Salad. Enjoy your meal!
