how to cook Easy Homemade Italian Chicken Meatballs?

Let’s get cooking! Start by slicing those vibrant red onions lengthwise into several pieces, making sure not to cut all the way through.

TIPS: If you don’t have red onions on hand, regular onions can be a great substitute. They’ll still add that delicious flavor to your dish.

Place the sliced onions in a bowl, cover them with water, and let them soak for 10 minutes.

After draining the water, finely chop the onions.

TIPS: One important tip is to finely chop the red onion to ensure it is evenly distributed throughout the meatball mixture. This will not only enhance the flavor of the meatballs but also help them hold together better during cooking.

Next, grab a large bowl and mix together minced chicken and boiled rice.

Add chopped onion, season with salt, black pepper and chopped garlic.

TIPS: Now, let’s talk about garlic. Wondering how to chop a clove of garlic? There are a couple of options. You can either use a garlic press to get that perfect mince. Or finely chop the garlic with a sharp knife. Both methods work like a charm.

TIPS: If you don’t have fresh garlic cloves, dried garlic can be a suitable substitute. Just keep in mind that the flavor might be slightly different, so adjust accordingly.

Finally add one egg to the previous ingredients and mix well until you’ll get a fine mixture.

TIPS: When mixing the meatball ingredients together, be sure to do so gently and not overwork the mixture. Overmixing the meatball mixture can result in tough and dense meatballs.

Make meatballs from the mixture.

TIPS: Once the meatball mixture is ready, form the mixture into evenly sized meatballs. A helpful tip is to use a cookie scoop or ice cream scoop to portion out the meatball mixture. This will ensure that all of the meatballs are the same size and will cook evenly.

Then fry them in a pan with a little vegetable oil until golden brown on both sides.

TIPS: One key tip is to brown the meatballs before adding them to the sauce. Browning the meatballs in a hot skillet helps to seal in the juices and create a flavorful brown crust on the outside of the meatballs. This step also adds depth of flavor to the dish and helps to enhance the overall texture of the meatballs.
