Now, roll out the puff pastry into a 20 cm by 30 cm rectangle. If you want to be precise, you can use a ruler to measure it.

TIPS. If cracks appear while working with puff pastry, simply moisten them with a little water and press them together with your fingers.

Using a pizza cutter, cut the rectangle into 6 squares that are 10 cm by 10 cm in size.

TIPS. Don’t limit yourself to using just a pizza cutter to cut puff pastry; a sharp knife works just as well.

Next, grease the back side of a muffin tin. Place the squares on top of the muffin tin and shape them into little baskets.

Put the muffin tin into the preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) and bake them for 10 minutes.

  • Puff pastry – 1/2 pack (250 g)

for the filling

  • Champignons – 7 pcs. (150 g)
  • Chicken breast fillet – 1/3 pcs. (125 g)
  • Sweet pepper – 1 pc. (100 g)
  • Cream 10% – 1/4 cup (63 g)
  • Salt – 1/8 tsp. (1 pinch)
  • Ground black pepper – 1/8 tsp. (1 pinch)


  • Green onions

Cooking steps:

Puff pastries

  1. Place the unleavened puff pastry, defrosted according to package instructions, onto a lightly floured surface. Roll out the sheet of puff pastry into a rectangle measuring 20 cm by 30 cm.
  2. Using a pizza knife, cut the resulting rectangle into 6 squares measuring 10 cm by 10 cm. Grease the back of a muffin tin for 6 pieces with a diameter of 7 cm with butter. Place the squares on top, and form into baskets.
  3. Place the muffin tin in an oven preheated to 200°C (400°F) and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the baskets from the oven and let cool completely.
  1. Coarsely chop the mushrooms. Cut the red bell pepper into strips. Cut the chicken breast fillet into cubes.
  2. Pour a little vegetable oil into a frying pan heated over high heat and add chopped chicken breast. Fry on both sides until golden brown.
  3. Add mushrooms, bell peppers to the fried chicken in a frying pan, pour in cream, season with salt and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.


  1. Place the resulting filling in cooled puff pastries and bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (400°F) for another 15 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle the finished puff pastries with chopped green onions.
