Apple Butter Yeast Cake


for the crust

  • Rich yeast dough – 1/2 pack (250 g)

for the filling

  • Butter – 1/3 cup (80 g)
  • Sugar – 1/3 cup (66 g)
  • Honey – 1 tbsp. (22 g)
  • Milk – 1 tbsp. (15 g)
  • Apples – 8 pcs. (700 g)
  • Chocolate corn flakes – 1 1/2 cup (75 g)


  • Powdered sugar

Cooking steps:


  1. Place a sheet of rich yeast dough, thawed according to package instructions, on a lightly floured surface. Roll out into a 30cm x 20cm rectangle.
  2. Grease a 30cm x 20cm baking tray with butter and sprinkle with flour. Using a rolling pin, transfer the rolled-out dough to the prepared baking tray. Cover the baking tray with cling film and leave to rise in a warm place for 40 minutes.


  1. Peel the apples, remove the seeds, cut each apple into 8 pieces.
  2. Put butter in a saucepan, add sugar, pour in milk, add honey. Place on the stove, bring to a boil, cook over medium heat for 1 minute. Remove from heat, cool slightly.
  3. Place corn flakes in a medium bowl, pour in the resulting cream mixture, and stir.


  1. Arrange the apple slices over the yeast dough. Spread the corn mixture evenly on top.
  2. Bake the cake in an oven preheated to 200°C (400⁰F) for 20-25 minutes. Leave the finished cake in the baking tray for 5 minutes. Remove from the baking tray and cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
